Hello, and welcome! My name is Lindsay, and I live in Oregon with my husband, two cats, and a young flock of backyard chickens.
Until a few years ago, I didn’t know the first thing about gardening, crafting, or raising chickens. What I did know, however, was that I was drawn to a slower, simpler way of being, and have been since I can remember. I wanted to live a life that was centered around home; one that nurtured a healthy relationship with the land and community I was surrounded by.
In 2010, shortly after graduating college, I grew my first garden, taught myself to knit and crochet, and bought my first sewing machine. I also launched this blog, hoping I could document my efforts and meet like-minded people. At first, all of my experiences with growing vegetables and making things with my hands were new and exciting. And while it’s all still very exciting to me, I’m happy to say that this is now a way of life, and I’m loving it.
Over time, this space of mine has become a very important creative outlet for me, and its existence has brought me amazing relationships and collaborative opportunities I never would’ve thought possible. If you're here, please take a moment to comment or say hello. I love meeting new people!
